Market Pulse Report "highlights" presented by: ENLIGN Advisors, with experienced professionals serving your lower middle market to main-street business transaction requirements nationwide.

Referencing the most recent Market Pulse Report, we will focus on three key market factors, starting with the Impact of the Election on sellers exit timing.

Then, compare business sellers market sentiment.

And finally, Year over year closed business transaction multiples over the past three years.

Almost 50% of small business owners reported that they were waiting until after the election to decide on whether or not to take their businesses to market.

As enterprise values increase the election became less of a factor with less than 30% of lower middle market business owners delaying their plans.

The Market Pulse Survey is reporting that main street business seller sentiment has increased marginally over the past year.

Sentiment is a measure of how confident business sellers are that they will be able to complete a business sale with acceptable terms and conditions.

When reviewing sale price multiples across varying size businesses, in general, the larger the business, the larger reduction in average multiple was reported. Medium sized businesses held steady in the three to four time multiple range. Small businesses multiples have remained the same for the past three years.
