Description:
This device was designed by Reuben Margoliash in Glencoe, Illinois in 2014 at a cost of over $400,000 plus approximately $400,000 in research and design. This device is unique in two ways. The first is that the handle can be easily reconfigured to multiple positions, pistol grip, intermediate and inline with a simple push button without having to remove from the patient or change instruments. The second is that the surgical tools such as scissors, graspers, and needle holders can be interchanged without removing the surgical instrument from the patient. This is made possible by use of a tool drum that the shafts with surgical tools can be passed through. This sale is for the patent rights only. The asset is prerevenue and has not been mass produced. A fully functional reuseable preproduction sample has been completed. A disposal version may be developed to create recurring revenue. Seller not interested in any offers that do not include substantial down payments. Demonstration videos are available.
Competition:
There is no direct competition as this is a patented design.
Growth and Expansion:
According to Quara, there are approximately 15 million laparoscopic surgeries performed per year.
Support and Training:
Seller will assist in transition and may be available for long term consulting.
