George Bradbury began his 20-year career with Pitney Bowes Inc. as a sales representative, rapidly advancing through sales and marketing management, finally serving as the Vice President of Marketing.
George left Pitney Bowes Inc. in 1985 to purchase and develop a franchise of Precision Tune in the Northeast. He grew the business from a small start-up to a twenty-six-location franchise, with revenue reaching $18M. After 12 years in business, the company was sold. During his years in the automotive industry, a consulting project led to a position as the President of a $35 million direct marketing company, Response Communications.
In the mid-nineties, he moved to Atlanta where he joined his friend Chet Walden, founder and CEO of Walden Businesses, Inc. As a part of the mergers and acquisitions team, concentrating on middle market businesses, George was simultaneously looking for another business to purchase.
In 1998, he was introduced to Lee Williamson (Former Quarterback for the Houston Oilers) who became the other half of Bradbury & Williamson, Inc. George and Lee formed and grew their executive search firm to become the sixth largest contingency firm in Atlanta, and the largest in the country within their banking specialty.
In 2004, George moved to Costa Rica. After a two-year retirement, he decided it was time to get back in the game and did it in a big way. He formed a real estate company and became a member of ‘Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’ with a network of more than 650 brokers around the world. One day in late 2008, he also decided to try his hand in the restaurant industry and opened Brad’s Grille, an upscale 140-seat sports bar and restaurant. He also developed the first map in Central America that was published by an international franchise that produces colorful, hand-drawn maps of resort towns and cities.
George joined ENLIGN Advisors in May of 2016 as a business broker. George is licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission as a broker. George has achieved the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation.
The Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) is a prestigious designation exclusive to the International Business Brokers Association that identifies an experienced and dedicated business broker. It is awarded to intermediaries who have proven professional excellence through verified education as well as exemplary commitment to our industry.
Though much time and effort are required to gain this credential, the rewards are bountiful and indicate to potential clients that anyone who holds the CBI certification is a knowledgeable, invested, and dedicated brokerage professional. Successful completion of the certification process significantly distinguishes business brokers from their peers.
