ENLIGN Represents Wine ‘n Things in Sale of Business Again

Local Business Brokerage Signs North Carolina Business As New Listing RALEIGH – ENLIGN Business Brokers has again acted as intermediary in the sale of Wine ‘n Things located on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh, NC. ENLIGN, representing the sellers Paul and Karen Katsirubas, prepared a buyer’s information packet, provided a brokers opinion of value, worked with the sellers to determine an appropriate asking price, listed the business online, pre-qualified potential buyers, represented the sellers in pre-offer discussions, assisted in the negotiation of the terms of the transaction, worked with buyers and sellers attorneys in preparing closing documents for client review and participated in the closing.

Michael Murray, JD, CPA of Murray Law Office, PLLC represented the buyers. Thomas Lenfestey, III JD, CPA of Adams, Howell & Sizemore, PA represented the sellers. Both attorneys were involved in the prior transaction.

ENLIGN marketed the opportunity with the top eleven online business listing services. Additionally, the opportunity was posted on the company’s Web site, www.enlign.com and marketed directly to ENLIGN’s internal business buyers list.

Wine ‘n Things has been in continuous operation for over 23 years founded, owned and operated by Norman and Virginia (Ginny) Andrews in September of 1987. The shop features over 1000 different labels of wine and many wine accessories. The Katsirubas’ were pleased with the transaction and excited about the company’s future prospects for its new owners, Don and Helen Davidson.

“We built a level of trust and confidence when working with ENLIGN during the purchase from the Andrews’s in early 2009. When the decision was made to sell there was only one phone call to make.” shared Paul.

Don and Helen Davidson are the new owner/operators and will be making some enhancements to the business including special wine tastings with nearby restaurants such as Savoy on Lead Mine Road, free corkage passes to participating area restaurants and refining the product selection.

“The Davidson’s have been personal friends of mine and my wife’s for over ten years. We are excited for them and pleased that ENLIGN was able to assist in the transaction. It was honor to be selected again to represent Wine ‘n Things.” Added Jeff Snell who served as the principal broker in the transaction.

ENLIGN does not typically release financial details of transactions. For more information, visit http://www.enlign.com and http://www.winenthings.com/.
